Expense Tracker is an Android application that automatically detects bank transactions from SMS messages and helps you track your expenses. All data processing happens entirely on your device — no data is ever sent to any server or third party.
2. Data We Access
SMS Messages: The App requests permission to read SMS messages on your device. This is used solely to detect bank transaction alerts (debit/credit notifications) and extract transaction details such as amount, merchant name, and date.
SMS messages are processed entirely on your device. The content of your SMS messages is never transmitted, uploaded, or shared with anyone.
3. How Your Data Is Used
The App uses SMS data exclusively to:
— Read bank SMS alerts to identify transactions
— Extract transaction amount, merchant, date, and category
— Store this information locally on your device for expense tracking
No other use is made of your SMS data.
4. Data Storage
All data — including transaction history, budgets, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. No data is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party at any time.
5. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
— Personal identification information
— SMS content or transaction data off your device
— Location data
— Analytics or usage data
— Advertising identifiers
The App contains no analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any form of tracking.

We do not share your data with any third party, under any circumstances. The App does not integrate with any external service, API, or platform.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date in the footer. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
